Brazing Rods & Fluxes

Brazing is a joining process where filler metals with a melting point above 450 °C are used to bond base metals without melting them. Brazing offers:

  • Strong, leak-proof joints
  • Dissimilar metal joining
  • Good corrosion resistance
  • Smooth finish for piping, HVAC, aerospace, and tooling industries

We supply brazing rods & fluxes from Harris, Castolin, Messer, Lucas-Milhaupt, Böhler, Oerlikon, SIF, UTP, approved for HVAC, oil & gas, power, automotive, tooling, aerospace, and EPC contractors.

Grade Composition Applications
RBCuZn-C (Low Fuming Bronze – LFB) Cu-Zn-Si General steel brazing, galvanized steels, dissimilar joints.
RBCuZn-D (Nickel Bronze) Cu-Zn-Ni Improved strength, wear resistance.
RBCuZn-B Cu-Zn Automotive, piping, mild steel.
Cu-Sn (Bronze) Cu-Sn Cast iron repair, bearing surfacing.

2. Silver Brazing Alloys

Grade Composition Applications
BAg-1 45% Ag, Cu, Zn, Cd General silver brazing.
BAg-5 45% Ag, Cu, Zn Cadmium-free, plumbing, HVAC.
BAg-7 56% Ag, Cu, Zn, Sn High strength, food industry, dissimilar metals.
BAg-24 40% Ag, Cu, Zn Refrigeration, automotive AC.
BAg-34 30% Ag, Cu, Zn, Ni Nickel-added, improved corrosion resistance.

Features: Excellent for joining copper, brass, steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys.

Silver Brazing Alloys (ISO 3677)

These silver-based alloys offer versatility for joining various materials. They are known for their strong joints and low working temperatures.

  • B Cu 55 Zn Ag Si 820 - 870: A silver brazing alloy with copper, zinc, and silicon.
  • B Cu 36 Zn Ag Sn 630 - 730: A tin-containing silver braze, which lowers the melting range and improves flow characteristics.
  • B Ag 40 Cu Zn Sn 650 - 710: A common silver brazing alloy used for general-purpose applications.
  • B Ag 56 Zn Cu Sn 620 - 655: High-silver content alloy with a low melting point, ideal for sensitive components.

3. Copper-Phosphorus (Phos-Copper) Alloys

Grade Composition Applications
BCuP-2 Cu + 7% P Copper-to-copper, plumbing, refrigeration.
BCuP-3 Cu + 6% P, Ag Better flow, ductility.
BCuP-5 Cu + 15% Ag + P Stronger, dissimilar copper alloys.

Features:Self-fluxing when used on copper (no flux required).

These alloys are ideal for joining copper-to-copper and copper-to-brass applications. The phosphorus acts as a deoxidizer, eliminating the need for flux when brazing copper joints.

  • B Cu 92 P 710 - 738: Pure copper-phosphorus alloy for HVAC and refrigeration.
  • B Cu 93 PAg 650 - 820: Silver addition improves ductility and widens melting range.
  • B Cu 91 PAg 650 - 800: Versatile choice for various copper and copper alloy joints.
  • B Cu 88 PAg 650 - 770: Higher silver content increases fluidity and lowers melting temperatures.
  • 4. Nickel-Based Brazing Alloys

    Grade Composition Applications
    BNi-1 Ni + B + Si Stainless steels, corrosion-resistant joints.
    BNi-2 Ni + Cr + Si + B High-temp service, aerospace turbines.
BNi-5 Ni + Cr + Si Tools, dies, carbide tipping.
    BNi-7 Ni + Cr + P Corrosion-resistant stainless & Inconel.

    5. Aluminum Brazing Alloys

    Grade Composition Applications
BAlSi-1 Al + 12% Si Aluminum heat exchangers, automotive radiators.
BAlSi-4 Al + 10% Si + Cu Improved strength, aerospace.
Al-12Si rods Al-Si eutectic Automotive, condenser tubes.

    6. Cobalt & Specialty Brazing Alloys

    Grade Composition Applications
Co-Cr-W based Co-Cr-W High wear and corrosion resistance.
Precious metal brazes (Au-based) Au-Ni-Cu Electronics, aerospace, medical devices.

    7. Hardfacing & Wear-Resistant Brazing Alloys

    • Tungsten carbide tipped rods for mining & tools.
    • Nickel/Silver brazing alloys for saw blades and cutting tools.
    • Cobalt/Carbide combinations for aerospace wear resistance.

    8. Brazing Fluxes

    • Flux is essential (except self-fluxing copper-phosphorus alloys).
    • Types of Fluxes:
      • Borax-based (general): For brass, bronze, silver brazing.
      • Fluoride-borate fluxes: For stainless steel and nickel alloys.
