Hardfacing is the process of depositing wear-resistant alloys onto the surface of a component to increase its service life. It is widely used in industries like cement, mining, steel, oil & gas, sugar, construction, recycling, and power generation where abrasion, impact, heat, and corrosion cause severe wear on equipment.

  • 1. Hardfacing Electrodes (SMAW / MMA)
    • Common Grades: High Chromium Carbide: EFeCr-A, EFeCr-B; Complex Carbides (with Nb, V, W): EFeCr-C, EFeMn-C; Manganese Steel (Hadfield): EFeMn-A; Tough Iron-Based Alloys for metal-to-metal wear

    • Grades: SAW Strip Cladding Alloys: 60–70 HRC carbide deposits; Wire + Flux combos with chromium carbide, complex carbides
    • Applications: Roll rebuilding, pressure parts, cement rollers, sugar mill rollers
    • Advantages: Very high deposition rate, economical for large areas
  • 6. Hardfacing Strip Cladding (ESW/SAW)
    • Grades: FeCr, FeCrNb, FeNiCrMo strips for protection against abrasion + corrosion

    • Advantages: Uniform, large-area cladding with high efficiency
