Applications
- Chemical Processing Industry : Used in the fabrication and repair of chemical processing equipment due to their ability to withstand aggressive chemicals and high temperatures.
- Power Generation: Employed in the construction and maintenance of power plants, including nuclear reactors, where materials must resist high temperatures and corrosive environments.
- Marine Industry: Used in the construction and repair of ships and marine structures, particularly in areas exposed to seawater and other corrosive environments.
- Pulp and Paper Industry: Used in the manufacturing and repair of equipment that handles caustic and corrosive materials in the pulp and paper industry.
- Desalination Plants: Applied in desalination plants where materials need to resist corrosion from saltwater and brine solutions.
- Heat Exchangers: Utilized in the construction and maintenance of heat exchangers, providing resistance to high temperatures and corrosive environments.
- Pollution Control Equipment: Employed in the fabrication and maintenance of pollution control equipment to withstand harsh environmental conditions and corrosive substances.
Storage and Handling
- Store electrodes in a dry, temperature-controlled environment.
- Ensure packaging is sealed until ready for use.
- Avoid exposure to moisture to prevent hydrogen pickup.
- Re-dry electrodes according to manufacturer recommendations if they become damp.
Safety Precautions
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, welding helmet, and protective clothing.
- Ensure adequate ventilation to avoid inhalation of fumes.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standards for welding operations.
- Keep flammable materials away from the welding area.
